Project 01 | PLAYFUL POM POMS

Chloe's unique vision brings interest to upcycling through her contemporary take on kitsch culture. Drawing inspiration from collections of everyday found objects and her love of 80s pattern gives Chloe's textile pieces a playfulness. Transferring abstract drawings from the page to the body, Chloe creates lively, hand rendered prints using a combination of collage and gouache. These are then re - imagined into designs and digitally printed utilising a range of materials, which include, silk, organza and leather. Applying a range of digital and hand manipulated processes, her designs are constructed of multiple layers which combine laser and plotter cutting, embroidery and hand flocking methods to create colourful, textural and innovative textiles for fashion

Project |04 Knitting Needle Bracelets

I use vintage knitting needles, as working with found materials plays a key role within my work to create knitting needle bracelets which are now currently for sale within the craft space at Mission Gallery in Swansea.

The bracelets really are as fun to make as they are to wear! Have a look at Mission Gallery's website http://www.missiongallery.co.uk/to see current exhibitions and other beautiful work on sale in the craft space.
